Mechanical Integration and Stability Design

Existing seated VR platforms lack a modular structural framework capable of managing dynamic body-lean loads during broom-flight navigation. This component designs the custom metal frame, seat support system, and actuator mounts to guarantee load distribution, user safety, and reliable physical interaction.

• CASE STUDY & METHODOLOGY

Engineers the modular mechanical framework and load-bearing chassis for the VR motion seat platform.

Conventional VR setups often fail to remain physically anchored when users execute aggressive lean-to-turn maneuvers, creating instability and potential safety risks during immersive navigation.

To bridge this gap, the mechanical integration and stability design component focuses on developing a robust, reconfigurable metal frame and seat support architecture. By systematically organizing load distribution and incorporating precise actuator mounting mechanisms, the system ensures that physical forces are transferred smoothly and securely.

The core mechanical architecture supports multi-modal interaction while maintaining a stable center of gravity and strict safety limit stops. Through rigorous prototype evaluation under user load, the platform achieves high reliability, structural balance, and ergonomic comfort for full-body VR flight.
